    Calling Walter,

Just hired a AJ1200 deck to do some bitc vhs over the weekend, and we’re getting a E00 error message which means server not locked, any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Update, we can now see tapes that have been upconverted to 1080i, but our 720 stuff from the camera brings up the server error. There is a menu, number 20 I think mentioned in the manual that lets you choose, but it doesn’t seemn to be there.

    Thanks again

Might talk to the folks you rented the deck from…

The error means a couple of things – first of which is No TC on the tape ( you are before or after the media on the tape.

that would be the 020 series menus change the output for your content
you need to manually change between 720 and 1080 settings – so you really need to go to the 600 series menus to change the output intent.

This can happen when the deck is set to a frequency which is different to what the tape was recorded at.Check the user bits to see what frequency the tape was recorded at and see if that matchs the frequency the machine is set at

Sorry I was out all day yesterday Otis, but I see Gary and the others here have you on the right track. As you’ve found out, the 1200A is menu intensive and it can take a while to figure out exactly how to set up the deck for your needs.
