Calibration problems
I don’t know if is the forum for my question but I need help calibrating my Apple 30″ Cinema display. All my whites have a yellow color to it. I spent 3 hours trying to adjust the display preferences.
When i view my footage thru my broadcast monitor connected to my Intensity Pro Card the color is fine.Is there software i can download to help color correct my monitor?

You would need a probe of some type to really do it correctly…
The calibration software would output a color that it knows the absolute value of, and then read the color being sensed by the probe and correct for the difference.
Then the settings would be stored as a sort of “LUT” (look up table) to make the monitor as accurate as possible, though a computer monitor will never be a calibrated video monitor…so an exact match is pretty unlikely.

Do you have any recommendations for a hardware base calibration tool?
I not looking to match my video monitor but the yellow tent is very annoying. When i plug in my $150.00 22″ gateway monitor i get a better picture. I have the older Apple 30″ display (2005). Will the color start to fade overtime? -

There are several options for this sort of thing. Monitors do age and drift out of adjustment, that’s why the software will remind you at some specified interval that you should calibrate again…a month or whatever you set it for…
