    Hi everyone!

Recently, when opening a Final Cut sequence, a message appeared within the thumbnail in the timeline that didn’t exist before. The message says “Calibrated {Q} IMX decode.” The message also pops up when trimming a clip. Does anyone know what this means and how to make it disappear?

    Thanks!

Sounds like you had a calibrated demo software installed:

User guide will tell you how to uninstall:

Thanks Jeremy. I followed the uninstall instructions, dumping all the calibrated settings and folders from the hard drive, re-started, and while the calibrated message has disappeared from a couple of the thumbnails and it no longer appears during a trim, it remains visible in most of the thumbnails (it’s a 35-min sequence with lots of edits). Any other suggestions?

    Hi,

FCP caches thumbnails so you would need to turn off then turn back on thumbnails or clear your cache to force FCP to re-make your thumbnails.

    Cheers,

Thank you for your help gentlemen. I wound up trashing the Thumbnails Cache Folder and that did the trick! Thanks again.
