Can someone describe the correct way to callibrate a pro video monitor when working with PAL video?

Is it the same as with NTSC?

Can I use the PAL Bars and Tone in FCP5 to do this? Does the bars/tone clip need to be in my PAL Uncompressed 8-bit timeline when outputting to monitor for calibration?

    My system:

    Sony PVM-20M4U, component video input
    Dual G5 2.3GHz
    4.5 GB RAM
    OS 10.4.2
    FCP 5.0.2
    QT Pro 7.0.3
AJA Io with Driver v2.0 and Firmware Update v23-28
AJA ProIO Control Panel v 1.0.0
    Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 to/from DVW-A500 via SDI

There’s a helpful section in the FCP manual which will take you through the process for both PAL & NTSC standards.
