caldigit vr and raid 0
Have used Caldigit vr for Raid 1 and wanted to test it for Raid 0 but it will not format. Caldigit told me to put the drives to JBOD run a partion, worked well, and then turn to Raid 0 and run a partion again.When trying to run partion in disk utility it just says waiting for drives to show up. Any similar experiences out there? Also tried go back to Raid 1 that worked to.

Is it the caldigit vr mini?
You have to follow the instructions of the manufacturer. It is hardware based and has nothing to do with the computer. Normally it would be enough just to switch the vr to Raid0 and reformat.
Or you change to new harddrives. What happens if you remove one HD? The caldigit device has hot swap ablility.cheers
