I have an 8TB CalDigit Raid that has had crashing problems since I got it two years ago. Each time it is in for repairs I am told it is fixed for sure and then within a few months the crashing starts to happen again. Has anyone had these kind of issues with a CalDigit HD One Raid? Any advise on how to get CalDigit to stand behind their product would be welcome.

    thanks,

I have a 4TB HDOne and never had an issue. CalDigit has always been top notch for me. If it works when they have it, but crashes when you have it, that might indicate another issue. Something else on your end, the MiniSAS card maybe? OS issues?

Hi Shane, thanks for your post. The problem happens when we take the machine back to where we bought it as well. They fix it, we think all is okay re-load our data and then the whole thing crashes again 2 months later. We particularly have difficulty if we try to transfer a file that will take more than an hour to move over if that offers any clues.

What kind of drives are in the unit? I know that a couple of years back Seagate drives had a firmware issue. New firmware was released that fixed it. I can’t imagine CalDigit wouldn’t have updated the firmware. Just a thought.
