what are some of the best tools/techniques for calculating data. I have a big shoot im assisting that includes:

    5x c300
    2x sony f3
    1x Red Epic
    1x 5dk3

trying to figure out how much space im going to need for everything with all their different data rates is a real pain but im sure there must be some good apps or something to help plan it all out..

If you have an iPhone, KataData will calculate both editing codecs and camera codecs. It’s a little pricy at $30 but comes in as an invaluable too in pre-production and on-set. I’ve used it on every shoot since I’ve purchased it.
