Does anybody know of a cable or a cheep converter that would convert the Kona’s 2-channel AES XLR cable to a pair of single analogue XRL’s that I could plug into a mixer.

I only want to monitor channel’s 1 & 2, and would like to plug the xlr’s into my Mackie mixor.

Don is correct. You did not specify if you have a Kona 2 or Kona 3 (if you had a Kona LH or LHe, it has analog audio out). Both the Kona 2 and Kona 3 offer the K2 or K3 box, which have analog audio out, to go to your Mackie mixer, for about $259. Most AES/EBU to analog converters cost more money than this. The exception is the Behringer SRC2496, which is around $129. But with the K3 box from AJA, you get a nice breakout panel, instead of that mess of wires, so it really is worth the money.
