hi, this is probably something simple but if anyone can put an idiot out of his misery he’d be very grateful…

i’m rendering a sphere exploding animation, which reveals an object inside the sphere. when i do a preview frame render mid explosion i see both the remaining object and the shards of the exploding sphere… but when i render the sequence as an animation it refuses to render the remaining object until all the shards of the explosion have cleared the scene, then it suddenly appears.

is there something i’m not doing properly? do i need to clear the cache? any ideas?

i’m rendering at the moment which will take another 12 hrs, but i’ll attempt to describe it:

    C4D version 11.5
scene: i’m exploding (with explosion FX) a sphere with a polygon displacement texture. i’m attempting to insert an object ‘inside’ the sphere so it can be seen as the sphere breaks apart. it looks fine in the single frame preview render at any stage of the explosion, but the inserted object will not render when i render ALL the frames as an animation, until all the polygons from the exploded sphere have cleared the screen. does this make any sense? i can upload the scene tomorrow, but i’m hoping someone has come across this before, and it’s just a matter of clicking a box…

    thanks in advance!

Makes no sense to me unless you have keyframes on the embedded sphere’s visibility.
