C4D to After Effects problem
I’ve successfully been working between cinema 4d and after effects for a while and one of the functions I find very useful is the External Compositing tag, allowing the addition of assets within After Effects.
However, recently the nulls that this Tag creates are coming in to Affects incorrectly. If I create a plane with a Y+ orientation (lying flat on the floor as it were) and apply the External Compositing tag I get a null layer in after effects which is oriented in the X plane.
In addition the null now comes with rotation key frames as well as a position one. In the past it would only come with a position keyframe.
This is making it difficult to add in elements in After Effects, particularly once there is some object or camera animation in C4D. I’ve tried starting a new project and the same happens each time. I’ve also tried importing aec files from old projects where it worked successfully and the nulls come into after effects correctly for those projetcs.
I’m using After Effects CS2 and C4D 10
I suspect it’s down to a setting in C4D and wondered if anyone had any suggestions on what that might be?
Thanks
