OMG! I read about this damn thing, but nobody can help.

    Simply put.

My cat stepped on my keyboard while in C4D.

And now, no matter what, and I mean what,
I can no longer SELECT ANYTHING. The only way to do so is to click in the list box to the right.

If I try to click on a model, nothing, if I try to deselect something, it won’t work.

If I try to right click, nothing, if I try to left click and bring up a menu, in won’t happen.

I can do everything else so long as it’s not in the 3d viewer. All my mouse functions disappear once enter it.

The only thing I can accomplish, when I right or left click and drag, is to scale my model, even if I don’t have the scale model tool on.

It’s literally stuck on permanent scale.

    Please help me.

No matter what I do, it will open like this for every project, new and old.

    Thanks.

I had a similar problem a while ago. I tried everything and one day I just got so annoyed that I pressed every key on the keyboard and that did the trick.

If it doesn’t I’d make sure the keyboard itself isn’t defective (for example that the r key isn’t stuck).

You could also try to delete your C4D preferences. That should reset everything when you restart Cinema.

Sounds like a key is stuck.

Ask the cat to step off of the keyboard. 😉
