    Hi-

    I have:

    After Effects CC 2014 (v. 13.1.1.3)
    Cinema 4D R14 Full Studio
    Cineware 2.0.1
    MacPro 2.7 GHz 12-Core Xeon E5
    Mac OS X 10.9.5

I cannot seem to get Global Illumination, Ambient Occlusion or any post effects to work inside Cineware when I’m in After Effects. The post effects render beautifully in C4D R14, however.

I switched the Cineware render path to:
    /Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R14/CINEMA 4D.app

And then restarted After Effects but that didn’t work.

Are post effects just not compatible with C4D R14?

    Help!

    Thanks,
    Jason

Jason, GI and AO work with the default renderer executable. Have you set the renderer in CINEWARE to “Software (Final)”?

Doh! This is why a second pair of (virtual) eyes can come in handy. See renders attached. Thanks, Walter!
