Modo user here. Might be switching to C4D soon. However Modo has one feature that I use a lot that C4D doesn’t seem to have.

Modo has a “render pass” system that does not render multiple outputs for compositing. It is used to control channel values in the scene, save those channel values, and render a image sequence of each set of saved channel values. This is very useful for rendering products that have a lot of different color variations, attachments, ect.

Is there any plugin equivalent for C4D that can do the same thing?

    Thanks all!

C4D has the interactive render area, but it’s not quite the same.

I’ve seen a third-party tool, but I’ve not used it.

There is a tool to use Blender’s Cycles renderer with C4D.
