    I have a row of spheres directly next to each other. Then a sphere rams this row.

    What I would expect to happen is for the energy to be transferred to the last sphere and only that one to move.
    But instead all the spheres move.

    Are my expectations wrong or is the physics faulty?

    what simulation system are you using? What version of C4D?

    I tried it with MoDynamics in 11.5 and the Rigid Body Dynamics in 12, both act the same way.
    I tried it with single spheres and (Mograph) clones but it made no difference.

    What I actually wanted to build is a Newton cradle (desk toy). That’s where I discovered it.

    the physics is a simulation no matter what, reality would take too long to calculate usually. I know from fooling a bit with it earlier today that with 12 you can fake it by setting Follow Position to 100 (Force tab) for the “middle’ spheres. I haven’t tried out your model yet so I don’t know how real the back and forth is going to work out. I assumed you were going for a Newton’s Cradle but I tested with something easier to set up.
