    Hi all,
I’m experiencing weird deconnections from clients with the new v11, and was wondering if someone else here has same issue.

I’m running only macs (10.4 and 10.5). My setup is deployed on a gigabit ethernet network, and has proved to work with v9, 9.5, 10 & 10.5. This issue is clearly related to v11.

About deconnection, it seems that it occurs when a render is finished in the queue, no matter what have yet to be rendered. To reconnect I have to quit and relaunch the client which reconnects immediatly, until next render in the queue.

I’ll try to ask Maxon about it, since it’s really a big issue for me, but still any feedback from other users will be appreciated…

    Thanx for reading,

    David

My server quit at the end of each render too. I am using a G5 and Cinema 10.5 i tried re installs and deleting everything nothing fixed it….and then it just started working again one day.

here is a thread with a couple others that had the same issue … never resolved.

    Thanx for your feedback Randy!

My server doesn’t quit, and in fact my clients don’t quit as well. From the server point of view, clients are disconnected, but clients don’t display the ‘connection to server lost’ msg…

That makes me think server is faulty, and rejects some clients for unknown reason, when for clients nothing looks wrong, except they aren’t charged with work…

Anyway, I’ve dropped a note to Maxon, and I’m waiting for their expertise…

    Thanx again,

    D.
