  • C4D Multipass output to separate directories?

    Good morning, friends!

I’ve seen the question asked before, and as far as I can tell, there’s no built-in facility for making C4D output its multipass renders to separate locations. Where we have several passes to render, and bunch of frames per pass, we can wind up with 3000+ files in a directory, which causes the OS and compositing apps to get twitchy.

    – Can C4D be configured to output multipass passes each-to-its-own directory? (e.g., in Maya you can use a variable as part of the output path)

    – If not, does anyone know of a good tool for automatically separating out the multiple image sequences in a folder into multiple folders after the fact? Doing it by hand is a pain in the butt, too…

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
