  C4D Lite: Render>Make Preview –nothing showing in Picture Viewer

  Working thru some tutorials for C4D Lite, got to Render>Make Preview.

  C4DL pauses to apparently calculate the preview, launches Picture Viewer, but no preview appears. I’ve tried both QT and AVI formats for the preview.

  I suspect it’s some dumb little pilot error, so what’s the probable error?
