C4D lights causing gradient banding rings in After Effects
Im using Cinema 4D LITE with after effects and am seeing some gradient light banding rings on my object from a spotlight. When I use render view they disappear and then reappear when I click off…which I expect.
The problem is, since C4D LITE doesn’t render out and requires you to just save and it will automatically update in AE (to my understanding), it doesn’t fully render and still has rings. Ive checked both applications to make sure settings on render output are full but I cant get rid of the rings once it hits AE. Suggestions?

Is your comp set to 32 bits? If not that may be the problem. At lower bit depths you can generally get rid of banding by multiplying a very light noise layer over your render.
