C4D Lighted Material
I am looking for help in creating a texture/light to mimic this:

I have it modeled and I think I am pretty close, I must just be missing something. My main problem is it doesn’t look like a light emitting “light”, it just looks like a white box. It is emitting light because it is illuminating the objects around it and I want it to do that.
Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

As you discovered, visible object lights don’t have any shading. What I would do is set the text light not to display, then make a copy of the text and exclude it from the light. Give the copied text a material with the glow channel active. Use only internal glow, or more internal than external.
