  C4D boole not showing up in AE

  hello, I am having trouble with cinema 4d and after effects (I am using c4d r20 demo).  I have created a boole rectangle which hides some cylinders and in C4D it works just fine.  but when I save and try to view the effect in After effects it does not update.  The cylinders show up in the after effects project as if they weren’t being affected by anything.  I’m assuming there are render settings I have to adjust in order for a boole effect from C4D to show up in AE?  How do I get the boole effect created in c4d to show up in ae?
