Hey Guys- I’m not sure if this is the forum I should be looking in, but I just recently upgraded to FCS2, and I want to know how to set up Qmaster for distributive processing on my machine. I’m certainly open to the Net Renderer in C4D as well, but I can’t find any info on that except to render via TCP/IP to other computers. I’m just trying to stay local and spread the workload over my processors. Any help is more than appreciated!

    Thanks guys!

    Couple of thoughts for you.

    a) Cinema already works really well with multiple processors. We see HUGE improvements in our render times when we use our 8 Core machines.

    b) If you have a network to render to, NetRender is SUPER easy to set up and administer. It’s really an awesome tool and it’s great that it comes with Cinema.

    c) If you are really dead set on trying to multiple instance your app in order to get the best bang for your buck you cold check out Nucleo Pro 2. It can work with CInema files and it definitely works wonders for After Effects.

However, I’d look at your activity monitor first to see how many resources your cinema render is actually using, because if it’s already maxed out, you won’t see any improvement regardless of what you do.
