C4D can certainly be used to make abstract images of morphing shapes and animating textures, but its forte is 3D design and animation, so I would suggest that you consider other tools to create work similar to those examples. Programs like Studio Artist are specifically designed for paint effects, both still and animating, and will be much easier to use to create work of that nature.

While I am skeptical, I would never assert that those examples could NOT be done with C4D, so I would suggest talking with whoever assured you that they were so that you can contact the artists and learn their techniques.

I would guess that the majority of these are based on animated noise shaders, probably combined with the colorizer and other shaders.
