I’ve been cutting some C300 Mk2 footage – nothing unusual on my 5k imac Mojave system and 10.4.3.
when playing or scubbing clips in the time line or browser I’m having issues with audio skipping – dropping out – This was never a problem in the past – Anyone one else having this issue and if you are how did you solve it ?

Is the footage rewrapped to .mov or are you editing native files?

I find audio will drop until the waveforms are completely cached. It feels very buggy to me.

This is with other footage, though, not specifically c300 footage.

I’m working with native files and have been working with native files for a few years and earlier versions of X. For what ever reason it seems like the audio skipping problem has gotten worse lately.
I would think that by now, given the amount of time I have had one particular project open, the audio wfms would be drawn, cached a hundred times over.

    Do you see waveforms?

    Is this MXF media?

I’m using XFAVC media – MXF wrapper and I do see waveforms

[Mark Smith] “MXF wrapper and I do see waveforms”

When you get another drop out, immediately pause and zoom in to the waveform.

What am I looking for when I zoom into the wave form?

A hole with no waveforms or hash marks.
