    Hi there,

An important note when using Pavtube MXF converter. It doesn’t deal with the audio channels well.
I cant create a stereo left and right signal, and if you have a different mic in each channel as many of us do… only one of the mics will end up in your converted video.

So if your original MXF has A1 and A2 on left and right, then the converted video will have A1 and A1 (duplicate) on left and right.

I’ve been back and forth with the Pavtube help desk, they have eventually said they cant fix it and have no plans to.
Their answer is iMixMXF, but this has problems too. There are only some selected formats which offer the “split channel’ option. Also when doing a batch convert it will not hold your settings and reverts to default after the first clip is done.

Today I tried AcrockMXFconverter for mac. Almost identical to Pavtube. Same audio issue.

So WARNING, if you use 2 separate audio channels on your camera, these converters are no help.
