The janky C300 top handle has become a problem and I need to buy a new one. But I HATE the popular ones out there that do not stick out parallel. What I mean is it appears most after-market handles have no way to attach the LCD forward. When on the shoulder I can’t stand it when the LCD is super close to my eyes. Does this make sense? I can’t understand why or how anyone would want to operate that way. I’ll take it a step further and assume nobody knows what they’re doing, when they use or design such handles, haha.

I added a 1/4-20 shoe to a NATO handle from Wooden Camera and then mounted the whole thing on top of my Redrock C300 cage to replace my Canon OEM top handle. Of course, that bill is about $275 if buying new…I managed to pick mine up off Ebay for a whole lot less than that. The Helmet Coldshoe Handle kit from Zacuto works well, too…but also pricey.
