Canon C200, shooting 59.98, MP4. New camera for me.
I can’t seem to get a video signal out of the Canon C200 via either the SDI or HDMI jacks into either my old Panasonic HD monitor or a cheap HD TV via HDMI. Neither the TV (HDMI) or the Panasonic Monitor (SDI) sense a signal.

I suspect it is a menu setting, armed with the full operator’s manual, I can’t see what I am doing wrong.

    Thank you for your time.

    Regards,

    Barry O’Brien

This is an issue I’ve also run into and apparently others have, too. It’s not a setting in the camera, it just seems that some monitors can’t receive the HDMI signal the C200 outputs (especially some older monitors).

We had that issue here, and then realised it must be because we are shooting in 24p at 24 hertz, and the monitor is not 24 htz, but 60 htz… When we switched to 60 hertz shooting, the HDMI signal got picked up by the monitor fine.
