buying a G5 for FCP continued
First…Thanks to all of you who responded. Here’s an example of what I was looking at on ebay.

Would this have been a good investment? My thoughts were that I’d like at least a 2.3 ghz. Again editing from Beta SP and Mini DV to Beta SP and DVD.

Wasn’t asking about the reputation of buying off ebay. Was asking about a G5 like the one shown. Would this be a good machine for the next 2-3 years?
