Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Buy a new Mac?

I’ve been limping along with a G5 Quad for a while now and am thinking of a new Mac Pro if/when it is released.

I follow the advice of not upgrading software until it has been well proven to work by others and am usually running at least a version behind on Final Cut Pro. When I do get a configuration that works well, I tend to stick with it for a while.

My question is this, is it advisable to do the same with a Mac Pro or is it reasonably safe to purchase soon after a new one is released? We will likely upgrade studio 2 to studio 3 at the same time.

Thanks in advance for your response,
    Chris

It is always wise to give things some time before using them as production machines. Normally within a couple of weeks you can see if there are no issues out there.
