Buttons that expand into submenus Encore CS5…?
Okay, here’s the set-up. A BluRay authoring job dropped in my lap and the client would like a single motion menu (video loop as the background -easy enough), a row of buttons at the bottom that, when rolled over, expand to a submenu. Acting much like a pull-down menu on a desktop. For example- the AUDIO button is selected, a submenu slides up giving the user all of the audio options, then goes away when the next button is selected, all while staying in the same “main menu”. Got it?
Okay? How? I’d be more than happy to follow a tutorial,but I’m not sure how to phrase my search to find one. I’m sure this is probably a simple task, but I’m a touch over my head. Or maybe I’m not. Either way, anyone have any advice? Thanks!

An expert will need to help you because I may be very wrong in thinking that Encore will not do this. I believe you will need a full spec authoring program like scenarist, Blu-print or others to do this … DVD Studio Pro may give you these options. Sorry not much help.

Any way to maybe fake it with animated rollovers?

You can do this with pop-up menus, but it will not be animated.
Animated menus only work with BD-J (java) authoring. DoStudio could do that.
Encore is a BDMV mode blu-ray app only.If they can settle on pop-up non animated menus, you’re good to go.
And like Ricky mentioned it’s somewhat complicated so do a google
search for pop-up menu encore authoring.
