Button Highlight Issue On Squiggly Font
Ive used encore at work for a while just making simple first play blu ray’s for 3d content, but this is my first attempt at making a menu that actually functions.
I have a PSD file (made by someone else) with the menu items in a hand-drawn doodle type font (not sure if this is relevant). The object has a blue color overlay on it, i just want the text to turn red when selected. No shadow or motion or anything, just a simple color overlay change. Seems simple enough. But I seem to keep screwing it up.
In photoshop I have a layer set labeled (+), with two layers inside one with a blue overlay, one with a red, using the (=1), (=2) prefix. Is this correct so far? What do i need to do in encore to prevent a box from being displayed over the whole button, and just letting my text be displayed? Is there something else in encore i need to do that Im missing? How do I get the overlay to only display on the font from that layer?
