  Button Creation issue

  Ive been trying to build a button from a .PSD graphic. It is a two layered image, a circle and a small figure inside the circle. When I place it on the menu in PS, and with the correct layer naming of (+), (=1) and (=2), the figure disappears. It shows the layer is there in Encore, but it doesnt appear. Ive even tried just merging the PSD as well as saving as .PNG to get the figure inside the circle and just settling for a single button with no sub-picture highlight but I cant get the figure to appear no matter what I do.

  Any suggestions??
