    Can annyone tell me how to create the effect of a light burst, similar to the intros on Survivor and the Contender. They show a person then there is a real quick burst of golden light. Thanks

    if you mean light rays, then go with Martti’s link. If you mean a glowish burst to the whole image, try duplicating the footage. On the duplicate, blur it to like 10 – 15 pixels. Then use colorama to recolor it to a golden or fiery hugh. Then set this duplicate to ADD transfer mode. Now keyframe this duplicate so the opacity goes from 0 to 100 (then back down if you wish).

    Not sure if this is what you speak of.
