    Hi,

I have posted twice now about the same interview footage that was extremely poorly shot. I’ve run into a new problem. The camera is roving so fast now that when I apply the stabilize behavior it locks it down perfectly, but the frames blur. Can anyone think of a way to avoid or compensate for this using Motion or FCP 6?

    Thanks!

ok , I guess you are dealing with interlaced footage, right ?

as you may have noticed in Fcp’s animation tab, interlaced footage must be located vertically all time on a value being even and round. if not… image get softy.

problem is that stabilizing footage moves it constantly vertically… so you can figure. It’s horrible, either in Fcp or Motion.

you need to de-interlace footage, stabilize and re-interlace.

and the only way I ever found to do this is using Shake.

Shake does a perfect job on this
