I am ripping a number of chapters off 20 non-commercial DVDs to put on one or two DVDs.

I can rip the chapters as VOB files and they are good quality and of decent size, but I can’t figure out how to reauthor them in any of the Apple software I have. It seems neither iDVD or DVD Studio Pro will accept VOB files. What software can I use so I don’t have to convert each VOB file again? or is there a way to author them into the aforementioned Apple products?

I guess something else I am wondering as well: Am I even doing this the best way possible (ripping VOBs and attempting to build another DVD of these VOBs)?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Pursure- ripping DVD’s on Google. VOB’s need to be de-multiplexed back into MPEG2 and AC3 before you can reuse them in DVDSP. iDVD wouldn’t do the trick.
