Hi there.. I am having problems when I use the burn to bluray feature in vegas pro 8.0b. I select Render and Burn and leave the default settings. It starts to render but freezes at pretty much the same spot every time (about 550 frames into the render). Then the application stops responding and I have to kill vegas.

Any ideas? I have a quad core intel cpu with 4GB of ram and 1TB of HDD space – so I dont think its a hardware issue. Thanks

I have exactly the same problem and have similar hardware. I was able to render to an mpeg2 and made a DVD of the project.

I have burned two BluRayprojects prior to this so I know it can work.

    I’ll greatly appreciate the help.

Just lurking here to see what the flow is for Blu Ray in Vegas. I do know that in FCP if you try to export straight to DVDSP you can run into snags. If you export the clip as self contained or Reerence, encode in your encoding app, then bring that into the authoring software it almost always works.

Its always about workflow…sometimes the shortest path isn’t the most reliable.
