burning time code into the picture
Posted by Nik Crosina on June 8, 2006 at 3:03 pmHi,
Is there a way of burning time code intothe picture with Premiere?
I need to create webstreamable proofs of a number of clips and woud like my clients to be able to get back to me with specific timings with their feedback (regardless of what they are using to view the clips)Best Regards,
Nik C

June 8, 2006 at 8:46 pmWhat version of Premiere are you using?
Do you mean the clips need to be on a website (web streamable) or do you want your clients to have access to the clips via the internet.
There are a number of solutions including DVDate plugin and the Timecode FX in PremPro 2.
Clip notes is a cool way to give clients access to clips and they can append comments at any point in the clip. Check it out. (PPRO vers 2 only)

June 9, 2006 at 7:10 amThanks, Craig,
We are using Premiere Pro 1.5 and 2 and I need the clips streamable from our server so clients can open them from a link I’ll send them (which wiorks fine and is excellent for remote proofing of visuals and VOs).
Where do I get this DVDate plugin and the Timecode FX in PremPro 2 – will do a googel for them . the clipniotes look cool as well!!
Thx,

June 10, 2006 at 7:50 pmHi,
Thanks, I checked out the clipnotes and it is an awsome feature if your clients are spread all over the country – as in our case.
We are putting together a training video for LivingWell health clubs and our specialists (one for Laundry, pool area, reception, gym, the caffe etc EACH) are spread right throughout the Bristish Isles!
Image having to send them a DVD each or as we usually do it, get them into our studiop and go through the material scene by scene – Nightmare!
Sending them a PDF that runs on their laptop and invite them to coment – Fantastic!
Thanks for for pointing me to that! – I guess I have a very valid business case for getting all our Premiers updated now!!Beer’s on me…
