    Hello,

Running Encore 1.5, I make a dvd image that is 2.6gb large and burn it on my home machine, it takes about 8 minutes. If I transfer the image (or build a completely new one) on my work machine, it takes about 30 minutes, even though the burner is 8x and my discs are 8x for both machines.

I’d like to try to track down the problem on my work machine, but I haven’t a clue where to start.

My home machine is a self-built PIV, all IDE drives, 80 pin cables.
My work machine is a Canopus Res100, dual AMD processor, RAID SCSI 150gb drive for my files and a 30gb IDE drive for the system. I don’t know what type of cables are used.

What I’m looking for is information on how the burning process is done, and what could possibly prevent my work machine from burning quickly…

    Take care,

    Nick

need more information on specs of both machines before trying to see whats up. No matter what anyone says, each machine acts diffrently.
