I’m using Sony DVD Architect 3.0, and am wondering if anyone knows what is going on. I sometimes can burn a disk and sometimes can’t. I’m using the same procedure each time. It says the file fits on the disk so I don’t need to optimize anything. Lately I have been trying to burn about a 45 minute mpg video on there, with a JPG picture as the menu background but can’t seem to get it to work. When I hit burn, it goes through all the stepds, and says its burnt , and asks if I would like to burn another, but it does not eject as it said, and when I take it out, it remains blank.

I don’t know what’s causing the problem, but you could try working around it by letting DVDA Prepare only – this should create the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, then, using a specialist burning program such as Nero or Record Now to burn those folders to disc.

If the folders are NOT being created, then there is some other problem in your workflow.

Try re-installing the latest upgrade. And make sure Nero (or some other burning software) is not running. Something is fooling DVDA into thinking it’s burning when it’s not – it has the ability to read the burn and kick out bad disks for burning problems.
