When i burn a dvd of footage that was shot on the hd cinealta camera it looks murky like a 1970s movie. It was captured by a kona 2 card into my G5 and edited in FCP 5 HD. When I burn using imovie it looks OK but when I use the compressor it looks murky. Does anyone know how to burn a dvd that has good video quality?

I have already followed the idvd manual burning a dvd instructions

    thank you

Idvd cant handle the HD material as nicely as DVD studio pro can. We have had good success using compressor and bringing in the mpeg 2 to DVD studio pro 4. What type of file are you creating with compressor that you can bring into idvd?

i tried creating an mpeg 2 and a quicktime movie. both yielded the same results. there seems to be no tangible difference in the quality of the dvd regardless of what i do. i’m thinking there must be some preferences that i am not using that would improve my picture quality. what preferences do you use in both compressor and dvd studio pro to get the best picture?
