I have one project which is shot on Cannon D7. I edited the project in FCP and exported the mov file in 1080p/25fps.

i want to burn the same move on a DVD keeping its high resolution intact i.e. 1080p/25fps

When i burn the DVD through Nero or Toast, it burns the data in PAL or NTSC i.e SD format. Please note that i dont want to burn the mov in data format, it has to be a DVD video format which should play in any DVD players.

Do let me know if you guys have any idea as to how to burn HD dvd video on a DVD.

The only way to view HD on a set top is by making a Blu Ray disc. Toast will do that as well as Encore

To DVD you can’t, for it to play in a standard DVD player it has to conform to the DVD standards which is SD by design. You might get some DVD players that will play certain H264 formats but they are not as common.
Either burn it as Data files onto a DVDROM or go to Bluray.
