  Burner life?

  Just out of curiousity…how many dvd’s can a burner burn before the burner starts to fail (make discs with errors?) I know this is a hardware question, but I am getting ready to possibly burn over 100 units (my budget does not afford me to factory duplicate it) and it could go as high as 500 units. This will be on an external burner with an avrage burn time of 8-9mins.
