  Burn TC before and after capturing clips

  Two quick questions (these relate to each clip’s native, original TC):

  1. Is there a way to burn in timecode into just-about-to-be-captured HDV clips using either the Sony HVR-M10U or HVR-M25U decks? If so, can you let me know?

  2. Is there another way to add burn-in TC onto already captured HDV clips without having to use the TC Reader effect and having to render? I have 1 hour long clips to add the TC reader to and that is just a LOT of rendering time. We have have 100+ HDV tapes.

  All of this is for a documentary which still needs to be edited. We are using 2 G5 Mac Pro’s (Old generation) with 2GB of ram, each. Thanks
