burn in time code on a sequence with fcp7
Hi
I am trying to add a time code window to a short sequence (12 minute) in FCP 7 I used the timecode generator filter but it resets to zero at every edit so that doesn’t work. then I put black slug on a second video track and keyed out the dark and that was fine but it seems I can only lay down 2 minutes of black at a time so the time code window goes away at the edit of each section of slug, I would happily reset the time code generator at each cut to provide accurate window but I cannot seem to be able to tell the timecode generator where to start the code,
any help

Nest the sequence and add the TC Generator Filter to it. Or use Andy’s TC Generator above the existing edited sequence.
