  • Burn in TC using compressor is lagging behind the original TC

    Hi

I need to deliver a video-dvd with burn in timecode for subtitling. The project is shot and edited on 24fps. I exported a refernce movie, sent it to compressor, selected the best quality 150 min DVD present and enabled the timecode filter.

After the dvd was done I checked the burnt timecode and timecode in the timeline. The burnt in timecode is lagging by few seconds by the end of the movie.

So I opened the dvd in MPEGStreamclip too crosscheck the dvd file’s timecode, It matched to that of FCP timeline.

Where exactly am I going wrong?

What is the format of the original footage? I noticed this is an issue with DVCPRO HD 720p 23.98 footage.

    Hi Shane

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
My footage is RED 2K @ 24 fps. The export that I am sending to compressor is ProRes 4444 @ 24 fps though.
