Burn Bluray – more than one video?
Posted by Kent Beeson on October 21, 2009 at 2:56 amHi
So going to Compressor 3.5 we can “burn” a QT file to Bluray with a single menu, but how can we “author” a Bluray using FCS 3?
If I have 5 separate videos I want to go on a blu ray DVD, how do I place those on a bluray DVD with a menu giving the viewer 5 buttons to select one of those videos? Is there no way other than using Adobe Encore (which I don’t have)?
Thanks
K

DVDSP is a DVD authoring tool. Blu Ray is not DVD. Just because they both are on a shiny disc doesn’t make them the same. Apple won’t be bringing anyone a BD authoring tool for many reasons.

“Yes I can believe it. Apple has been saying for years they would not support BluRay authoring. The fact that Compressor can even do anything with BluRay is the surprise.
DoStudio for Windows is a nice tool though.

October 21, 2009 at 1:17 pmI forgot about Toast! Yes, Toast works, too!
But you should encode first in Compressor for the best results. And it’s either a screener with no menu or a simple, single menu.

October 21, 2009 at 5:07 pmYou can nurn a Blu-ray using one of Toast’s preset menus with starting (I believe) with v9. Each menu has spaces for 6 videos.
