I am trying to create a transition from one clip to another where the clip on top burns away very realistically. Does anyone know a good tutorial or way to do this past using the film burn with glow and roughen edges. That effect is ok but looking for something a bit more realistic.

    Thanks!

You could check Video copilot for their Heat distortion plugins. And you have also this link which implies buying the effect or footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZOHansLZdw
