i want to do a shot that involves bumpy ground. the only way i can describe it is if you can imagine a camera tracking through a trench. i just need the floor and the 2 sides. this bit i can do creating 3 stills, putting a “tile” effect on it and then lining them up in 3d space. the problem is i want the texture to look slightly realistic…..i.e. a bit bumpy. i know AE only works with flat layers but is there a light/bump effect that can be used to good effect? i’ve tried fractal noise but not really come up with anything satisfactory!

You’ll want something like Zaxwerks 3D Warps or Conoa 3D if you have to do this in AE.
