It seems like that may have been done without any ‘real’ camera moves at all, which would require much less work to match move as there is very little motion. I can’t be sure exactly of the technique used, but my guess would be something along the lines of:
1) Shoot the footage and background plates.
2) Stitch stabilized footage together with background plates in a ‘3D’ environment (AE would work for that, similar techniques have been used in War of the Worlds and Frankenstein).
3) Create a static camera that matches the relative position and attributes of the real camera (taking measurements on set is important!)
4) Animate the bullet/null/layer so that it exits the gun realistically from this angle.
5) Animate the camera to follow the movement of the bullet.
6) Check to make sure everything looks good, if not then return to step 4.
