bulge filter on red circle
Seemed easy enough… Import red circle from Photoshop, apply bulge filter to give it a slightly 3d/roundish feel, but I don’t see any difference in how this looks – what am I doing wrong?

You need to add a highlight and shadow to make a circle look like a sphere. Try effect>perspective>CC sphere, applied to a rectangular solid.
