Hi All- I am using a bulge effect on text to make it look like it’s going around a horizontal cylinder. It is making my text look really weird. See attached. The type is a vector file from photoshop scaled down to 35% in AfterEffects. I put a 10% blur on the text to try to cut down on the bulge effect weirdness. Look closely at the edges and some circular thing going on. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

Here’s a pretty decent tutorial on how to do what you described using CC Cylinder instead of the bulge.

Thanks Sean. I tried that. I need the type to move kind of like an odometer or slot machine. Not individual numbers moving but all the type moving around a cylinder in that direction. Thanks though!

Hi again Sean- I figured out how to do that but it doesn’t give me the nice effect I get with Bulge.

Ah okay, sorry I misread as needing help with the initial effects.
For the weird dots, did you double check for the continuous rasterize button? Possibly use a illustrator vector file instead of a photoshop one?
